Join Shane at the historic Moodrey Building, located at 1000 Drouillard Road in the heart of Ford City. Built in 1924 during a period of explosive growth fuelled by the nearby automotive plant, this property has stood as a witness to over a century of neighbourhood transformation. In the early 1900s, Drouillard Road was a bustling commercial corridor alive with ambition, industry, and enterprise, and 1000 Drouillard was right at the epicentre of it all. From its earliest days, the Moodrey Building has housed a fascinating cast of tenants whose stories mirror the evolution of Ford City itself, from the boom times of automotive-era prosperity through decades of change and challenge.

Today, the building stands as a symbol of Ford City's most recent chapter, a neighbourhood revitalization that has seen Drouillard Road re-emerge as a vibrant hub of creativity, community, and local business. On this Jane's Walk, Shane will take you inside the Moodrey Building and through its remarkable timeline, revealing the colourful tenants, trades, and characters that have called it home. Whether you're a longtime resident or discovering Ford City for the first time, this tour offers a rare glimpse behind the walls of one of the neighbourhood's most storied addresses and a deeper understanding of the forces that shaped the community around it.
