From Mango to Maple: Diasporan Archives at University of Windsor) Host:   Archivist Antoinette Seymour (University of Windsor - Archives & Special Collections and Black Scholar Institute)

Contact host: antoinette.seymour@uwindsor.ca

New starting location: Leddy Library Foyer, 401 Sunset Ave, Windsor

Starting at the foyer of the The University of Windsor Leddy Library, we then move down to the Archives and Special Collections, home of community and institutional memory where archival collections of Diasporans at Canada are being built by Archivists Antoinette Seymour and Sarah Glassford, assisted by Dave Yott. We will finish our tour at the Black Scholars Institute for reflection and refreshments.

Walkers will not look at records the same again. They will connect the dots with respect to current records to semi-current records to permanent records/archives, whether at work, home or play. And there in the archives they will be immersed in a whole new world of history, memory, narratives, talking pieces, evidence and uniqueness - for an unforgettable walk and talk.  (No food, drink and pens allowed in the archives)
