About the event

From Mango to Maple: Diasporan Archives at University of Windsor) Host:   Archivist Antoinette Seymour (University of Windsor - Archives & Special Collections and Black Scholar Institute)

Contact host: antoinette.seymour@uwindsor.ca

Walk with us to the Black Scholars Institute at University of Windsor then over to a treasure site: The University of Windsor Leddy Library Archives and Special Collections, home of community and institutional memory where archival collections of Diasporans at Canada are being built by Archivists Antoinette Seymour and Sarah Glassford, assisted by Dave Yott. Then back to the Black Scholars Institute for reflection and refreshments.

Walkers will not look at records the same again. They will connect the dots with respect to current records to semi-current records to permanent records/archives, whether at work, home or play. And there in the archives they will be immersed in a whole new world of history, memory, narratives, talking pieces, evidence and uniqueness - for an unforgettable walk and talk.  (No food, drink and pens allowed in the archives)
