Join WEST of Windsor as we explore how employment support programs help newcomers and job seekers build successful lives in Windsor-Essex. This presentation will introduce participants to the free, government-funded services available through WEST’s Integrated Employment Services program, including career guidance, job search support, skills development, and connections with local employers.
Through real examples and community stories, we will highlight how newcomers navigate the challenges of entering the Canadian workforce and how supportive programs can help individuals gain confidence, build skills, and secure meaningful employment. Participants will also learn how these services contribute to stronger communities by helping individuals and families thrive in Windsor-Essex.
About the host:
For more than 40 years, WEST has empowered individuals by helping them build the skills, confidence, and support networks needed to succeed in the workforce. Through a comprehensive suite of employment services, skilled trades training, youth programs, language instruction and settlement supports, WEST helps participants overcome barriers, access training opportunities, career counselling and job matching services that lead to meaningful and sustainable career pathways
