About the event
Sketch & Dream: Visualizing Architectural Possibilities
Friday, May 1st from 2:30 to 3:30 PM
Host: Nicolas Lamoureux (Atelier Lamoureux)

Most great design work starts with an idea and a sketch. No idea is too fanciful, no sketch too illegible. Join me on a walk where we will have a far reaching discussion on the art of sketching, architecture, urban planning, and creative problem solving as we travel through some under utilized spaces in downtown Windsor. All participants will be given a sketch pad and either a pen or a pencil at no cost. However, feel free to bring your own sketch pad and your own favourite sketching utensil if you so choose. No experience or skill required. Help me to imagine what could be!
We will have three major stops where we will spend some time sketching out ideas and talking about the possibilities. Community engagement, participatory design, democratized design, tactical urbanism, citizen led design, etc. all look to make our cities more inclusive places by asking its citizens what they want to see in the design of spaces. We need to work together to make these ideas a reality and there's no better way to do this than to learn from each other, talk to each other, and share with each other.
