Join us for a brief history of art in the Amherstburg community, particularly the Fort Malden Guild of Arts and Crafts and the Gibson Gallery.  Enjoy a tour of our historic former train station and attached former Hiram Walker train car.  Inside you will enjoy our art exhibit featuring the artists of "Art Create Learn" and look through our railway museum, including pictures and artifacts.  Enjoy some shopping in our small gift shop, featuring hand made items made by our members and maybe meet a special guest or two.

About the host:

Around since 1945 and incorporated in 1975, the Fort Malden Guild of Arts and Crafts was created "to encourage and foster cultural development in the fields of fine arts and applied arts" in our community. Originally meeting on the grounds of Fort Malden Historic Site, we moved over to the former railway station in 1969 and the Gibson Gallery was born.
