About the walk:
Join our stroll though the 1830's. We will learn about the mining and manufacturing town of Olinda. The 1830's was an extremely difficult time in Upper Canada. A recession, rebellion, dysfunctional government along with advances in technology added up to too many challenges for our upstart town to handle. One third of the population of Essex County lived or worked in this planned town. Come and stroll the 1830's planned town along some of the original roads.
