About the walk:
Starting at the River Bookshop, we will venture along Richmond Street, the original northern boundary of the town of Amherstburg. On our way to Brock Street, we will observe examples of old business stands, public and recreational buildings, and repurposed historic structures. Brock Street is lined with stone buildings associated with St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and wooden dwellings. From there, we will proceed through a concentrated early residential area providing a glimpse of the town as it was over a century ago.
