Starting point: In front of City Cyclery (1008 Drouillard Rd)

End point: In front of Pressure Drop (1055 Drouillard Rd)

Learn how to contribute information to a publicly-sourced map of Windsor-Essex! Use your smartphone to add where there's bike parking, benches, and more to OpenStreetMap. This walk is suitable for ages 13+, and a gps-enabled smart device is required to record traces (mobile data is optional). This is a sidewalk-based route.

Send us your data following the event and we will upload it for you, or join us at Pressure Drop immediately following the walk for a discussion on how to upload your own traces.

Android users are recommended to use OSMTracker. iPhone users are recommended to use Open GPX Tracker.

About the host:

C3Tech is a collaboration between The City of Windsor Bicycle Committee, CWATS, Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab, Parallel 42 Systems, and Windsor Hackforge. The initiative aims to use open source software and community expertise to create digital tools that will encourage and empower cyclists in Windsor-Essex - check them out at WindsorEssexCycling.ca! The data gathered during this walk will appear on the C3Tech tools, as well as other services that are based on OpenStreetMap.
