"When the Walker Power Building was undergoing its extensive restoration, it was deconstructed to its skeletal frame. I was captivated by the richly textured view through Power Building's glass-less windows of the Hiram Walker silos. This quilted piece, with an abstracted Detroit skyline in the background, is multi-layered in an attempt to capture the complex texture created by the juxtaposition of these two iconic industrial buildings."
